Colorado Mountain Arts Gallery is an artist cooperative. Established June 5, 2010, the gallery exhibits the works of Colorado fine and craft artist. The gallery is located in Georgetown, CO a former silver mining camp along Clear Creek in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains established in 1859 during the Pikes Peak Gold Rush. Georgetown is part of the Georgetown-Silver Plume Historic district which includes Georgetown, Silver-Plume and the Georgetown Loop Historic Mining and Railroad Park between the two towns. About an hour up I-70 from Denver, Georgetown is a great place to experience history, art and ride the train.
Center for the Arts Evergreen provides quality art instruction, exhibits, and activities. The main gallery displays up to eight shows a year, showcasing local and nationally-acclaimed artist in both curated and juried exhibitions. The common area features a gift shop with wonderful handmade arts and crafts for any occasion and doubles as a secondary exhibition space. CAE also provides art classes in all media: painting, ceramics, jewelry making, silk dyeing, even language and writing. They host monthly cultural events; concerts, book talks, artist demos, wine tastings, lectures, and much more.
